RubyHiredhand Ruby Redfox HS, STD s, d, c, HTDI, HRDI. Owned by Amanda Crispel, Sonoma CA. Ruby is a red, bitch and my first herding dog. She loves to work and is a fireball on the trial course. We compete in AKC, ASCA and AHBA. This dog never quits. She is at her best at home doing chores. Once in a routine she can really get the job done.
JaliWallara Red Jaliji HS, STD s, c, HRD I. Owned by Amanda Crispel, Sonoma CA. Jali's name means "clever, red friend". Jali has strong eye for a cattle dog and great fetch and balance. He also works a little wider than your average ACD. I'm hoping after he matures he'll be a great trial dog.
DarcyCh. Silver Hills Energizer Bunny, aka "Darcy", came to live with us in April 1997 at the age of two. Darcy started her herding first with her HIC on sheep, then went right on to starting work on cattle. We raise a few Black Angus here on our farm in Palmer, Alaska, and wanted her to learn the basics to help us out with the cows. The photos here were taken during her sixth time on cattle with our instructor, Marylin Hahn. Although her approach to the grip was high when we started, with each training session she slowly comes down further and further. She has improved well since these pics were taken. I entered her in the ASCA trials up here in July, and she got a leg on ducks and was voted "Most Promising "Other" Started Dog". She has no fear and truly enjoys her work! This winter she took time out to have a wonderful, healthy litter of puppies. We'll be at it again in 1998!!!
SageCH Kuawarri Red Red Wine, HS. HCh George x Kuawarri Irinka Rae. Bred by Larry and Marilyn Painter. Owned by AJ Sauerborn. Sage is the foundation bitch here at Silverado Australian Cattle dogs. She is the first breed Ch get of HCh George, and has been trained and trialed to her Started title by her breeder Larry Painter. Sage is a very biddable and sensible bitch, she is OFA good, and is CERFed annually. Her Started title was completed with three class placements, as well as awards for Highest Scoring ACD and HS breed Champion in trial. After a maternity leave in the fall of 1997, in which she delivered a litter out of the Painter's HCh/CH Rewuri Blue Bogong (Syd), she will return to the herding arenas in pursuit of her Intermediate title.
CH Russell Run Bleu Bonnet,HS. Owner Marie Clayborne. Bonnie works sheep and cattle and trials in the AKC program. Bonnie is OFA fair, Cerf Clear in 1996 and has passed a BAER test. Bonnie was the winner 1994 ACDCA Cattle Calcutta. She Placed 4th in HS at 1994 Specialty, was High In Trial at the Collie Club Specialty 1995, and placed ninth in Top Ten Herding for 1995.
Boomer
CH Thatldu's Boomerang Chance, HS, JHD, STD d, s, c. DOB 9/6/95. Sire: CH Redwing's Take'N A Chance PT. Dam: CH Nip'n Heels Caoura Biala, HX, CDX, VQW, CGC, Can CD, U-CD, ASCA CD, OTD (d, s), HTD II. Boomer is currently ranked in the 1997 Top Ten ACDCA Herding Trial Dog ranking with very limited trialing in AKC. On his way to his HS title, he has won Reserve High in Trial on cattle and High Scoring ACD at the 1997 ACDCA National Specialty, trial 1. At another trial he went Reserve High in Trial on sheep and High in Trial on ducks. He will continue herding but is also going to be trialing in agility in 1998. Boomer is breeder-owned/trained/handled by Thatldu Kennels, Linda L. King.
Cory
CH Nip'n Heels Caora Biala, HX, CDX, VQW, CGC, Can CD, U-CD, ASCA CD, OTD (d, s), HTD II. OFA Good, BAER. Cory is a little bitch with a big heart who is now retired do to injury and is now watching her get follow in her footsteps. Cory is ranked #2 overall and #1 bitch in the 1994 ACDCA Herding Trial Dog with 4 HIT's. She also finished in the Top Ten Ranking in 1995. In 1993 she was ranked in the Top Ten ACD obedience Delaney ratings. She is the dam of the High Score ACD at the 1997 ACDCA National Specialty. trial 1. Owner trained and handled by Linda L. King. Honda
Owner Alison Deilke. Honda is my red male ILP dog. We got into herding when my Mom talked me into trying an HT at the '97 Nationals. We muddled though and got one leg, he was the only HT dog to pass on sheep either day, and this was with only 3-4 previous exposures to stock. In September we went on to pass the PT at the Cascade ACD club trial.
Breezy
Owner Alison Deilke. Breezy is my Blue female. I adopted this wonderfull CH. when she was 4yrs. old. She already had a good start in herding, and probably knows more than me. We passed the AHBA JHD at the Cascade club trial. She came to me with a PT already. Breezy has really bonded with me and it's starting to seem that she would do anything I ask of her.
